Delta Force Female Basketball Club on Sunday defeated First Deep Water of Lagos 60-56 points to record their sixth straight win at the ongoing Zenith Bank National Female Basketball League.

In the game played in the indoor sports hall of the Asaba Township Stadium, Delta Force overran their hard-fighting opponents with a great display of skills and determination.

He added that they have continued to improve with every game played so far.

“We are here to win, just like every other team in the league. We are improving with every game we play, and I must commend the girls for today’s (Sunday’s) win. It was not an easy game, but we thank God that we won.

“As a team, our target is to win all our games, finish top so that we can go to the final phase in Lagos and fight for the tittle, which I believe we will win,” Benson said.

Team captain Esther Igben also corroborated the position of her coach, expressing confidence in the ability of the team to win all their games and qualify for the finals in Lagos.

“We are prepared to win all our games, and the team is improving with every single game. Today, we rose to the occasion and won against a hard-fighting team. It was a sweet victory,’’ she said.
