Union Bank’s Rebrand Recognized With Two Awards

UNION BANK AWARDS

The recent rebrand by veteran bank, union bank plc has worn them two awards as ‘Best Brand Development To Reflect Changed Mission / Vision / Positioning as well as ‘Best Visual Identity From The Financial Services Sector’ outperforming the likes of ABC, ADCB, Commercial Bank of Dubai, Industry Gulf Finance and MAF Finance.

The bank in recent years has repositioned its vision, and mission with an improved customer service experience.

The bank also has positive stake in SMEs financing, retail banking, commercial and corporate banking.

Union Bank also was adjudged the ‘best bank to support small, medium scale enterprises (SMEs)’ in the country. The award was presented to the bank during the annual banking award organized by Business Day Newspapers in Lagos.

Speaking after receiving the award, the Head of Retail Segment, SME, Mr Rabiu Tata said the award is a clear indication that the bank’s transformation they have been working hard at for the last two years is yielding positive results and the bank is on the right path.

“Our goal is to build a simpler, smarter bank, focused on delivering value by providing quality financial solutions to its customers in retail, commercial and corporate banking segments across all industries” he said. He further explained that the Union Bank has been an avid supporter of small businesses throughout its history and this award shows that the bank would continue to do so. Small and Medium Enterprises are the engine of any economy and when they succeed, we succeed and Nigeria succeeds as a whole.

Union Bank has always been a proud supporter of SME’s. In 2014, the bank was given the CBN’s Best-Support Bank on ACGSF (Agricultural Credit Guarantee Scheme for Farmers) award for the 8th consecutive year.
