Zenith Bank Suspends International Transactions On Naira Debit Cards

Zenith bank international have suspended use of naira debit card (ATM Card) for international transactions. A mail sent to the bank’s customers indicates that the restriction is effective from Monday 13th of June, 2016.

The bank stated that For international transactions, customers should obtain any of our dollar denominated cards from Zenith Bank branches nationwide.

Below is the mail sent out to customers:

Dear valued customer,

This is to notify you that effective Monday, June 13, 2016, your naira card will no longer be enabled for international transactions.

Please be informed that your naira denominated cards will only be used for naira transactions across all payment channels.

For international transactions, please obtain any of our dollar denominated cards from Zenith Bank branches nationwide.

Thank you for your continued patronage.
