Overnight Lending Rates Crash to 23.46%

Overnight lending rates between banks further plunged on Monday, June 24, after hitting 74 per cent last week, following liquidity squeeze.

Overnight Nigeria Inter Bank Offer Rate which had dropped to 42.6667 per cent as at Friday last week, further dipped to 23.4583 per cent.

On the other hand, one month and six month rates dropped slightly to 14.4957 and 17.2246 per cents respectively as markets await stability.

Three month lending rate among banks however jumped slightly from 15.9648 per cent last week Friday to 16.0733 per cent at the close of business yesterday.
