NHRC REPORT: Why Uduaghan’s Response Makes No Sense

Uduaghan

Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan’s reaction to his indictment by the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) for serious electoral crimes suggests that he does not know what is coming at all. This is clear from his poor response to the matter.

His ill-informed opinions on the matter gives him out as a man with a court jester’s mindset on the very detailed NHRC report indicting him. Rather than answer the real questions on his criminal culpability in allegedly orchestrating schemes by which he forced himself into office against the will of the people, he is busy talking like an entertainer. This bravado only adds to his problems.

For the avoidance of doubt, no Tribunal or Court has looked into the serious issues of crimes raised by the NHRC. The report is the outcome of analyzed facts and investigations made for almost a decade. So, Uduaghan’s views to the contrary are just below the pale. They come across as plainly wrong, diversionary and unhelpful to the justice of the issues.

It needs to be said that Uduaghan’ hasty secret calls yesterday to Chairmen of most political parties in Delta (including the mushroom ones) to help him with a joint report opposing the NHRC is itself a further criminal attempt to procure even useless solutions to the problem. He may continue on this path and other nefarious ones but he must know that what is coming is beyond his usual ways. It is too big to comprehend. Maybe he needs to be reminded that a more active EFCC is also studying some serious petitions from Delta with diligence.
