House Officers/ Interns Protest at BMSH, Demand Salaries, Accomodation

ho

House Officers/Interns at BMSH embarked on a peaceful protest yesterday to the government house in portharcourt Rivers state over failure  of the authorities to pay salaries and provide accommodation (5) five months into the housejob/internship program.

The House officers/ Interns gave the authorities up till the 15th of November 2016 after which they would stop work since they would naturally not have the resources to continue work.

The honourable HO representative Dr  Nmegbu Wisdom and the ARD president Dr Wekere have consistently made effort to facilitate the payment of the salaries  but the attitude of civil servants at the ministries have made it impossible hence the need to alert the general public and the Governor before it lingers to December.

The relevant authorities however has also been notified that if nothing is done on or before 15th of November that the aforementioned individuals won’t be able to continue working.
