Ease of doing business: CAC set to end Physical Applications for business Registrations

As part of the federal government’s drive for ease of doing business in Nigeria, the corporate affairs commission (CAC) has concluded plans to end physical submission of application forms for new registration of companies, business names and incorporated trustees in twenty-one (21) state offices.

According to the CAC; “In order to ensure efficient service delivery to our valued customers and ease business registration, the Corporate Affairs Commission wishes to inform its esteemed customers and the general public of the extension of full online registration services to its remaining State Offices”.

FINANCIAL WATCH gathered that physical submissions for new registration will cease as follows on Monday, 12th March, 2018 in Akure, Umuahia and Abakiliki.

Others are Lafia, Minna, Makurdi, Osogbo, Gombe, Yola, Yenagoa, Owerri, Awka, Benin and Katsina.

Also on Monday, 19th March, 2018 physical registration will end in Birnin-Kebbi, Dutse, Maiduguri, Damaturu, Jalingo, Calabar and Gusau.

“All applications in the affected offices are to be submitted and processed online via the Commission’s Company’s Registration Portal (CRP) which can be accessed via: services.cac.gov.ng”

FINANCIAL WATCH reports that the official website of the corporate affairs commission which was launched in February 2015 has reduced the stress of business registration in Nigeria the past three years.
