It’s Official: MTN Lists Shares in Nigerian Stock Exchange – MTN Nigeria on Thursday, 16th May 2019, fulfilled its earlier promise as it listed its shares on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange.

FINANCIAL WATCH gathered MTN Nigeria by this action, has joined seven companies already listed on the premium board of the NSE.

Recall as earlier reported by this online medium, the communication giant had earlier disclosed its intention to get listed on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange before the end of the first half of 2019.

“MTN plans to list by introduction on The Nigerian Stock Exchange during the first half of 2019 and is looking to simplify the capital structure ahead of this listing.”

“The Company’s listing on the Exchange will create a new telecoms asset class for investors and provide an opportunity for a wider group of Nigerians to participate in our investment story,” MTN had said.

Following the listing on Thursday, analysts are already punching, calculating and envisaging the impact of the listing on Nigeria’s stock exchange market.
