Osun governorship election: Tribunal declares PDP’s Adeleke winner – The Osun state governorship election petition tribunal has declared Ademola Adeleke as winner of the 2018 governorship election in Osun state.
At its sitting in Abuja on Friday, it held that the rerun election conducted in the state after the initial poll was illegal.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had announced Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as winner of the September election.
But the PDP and Adeleke filed a petition at the tribunal, challenging Oyetola’s victory.
A three-man panel of the tribunal led by Ibrahim Sirajo, held that Oyetola was not validly returned as the winner of the election.
